As well as our preventative and maintenance facilities, here at the ACE hospital, we also have fully qualified vets working to UK standards, in our out-patients clinic as well as attending to our in-patients.

Most of the families who own working animals in Luxor can barely afford to pay for any medical expenses they themselves may need, so they certainly wouldn't have enough to pay for any for their animals, this is why it is imperative that our services are free.  If they weren't, not only would the animals suffer, but the whole family also, who rely on their animals for their livelihood.   There are no other Veterinary hospitals in Luxor for these animals to attend. 

We work to UK veterinary standards, and provide preventative and maintenance facilities and information.  In addition we run a full education programme that reaches every school child in Luxor.  Our long term aim is  to eliminate the suffering and old superstitious methods of treating animals.

There is a lot more about our work in the "For Professionals" section, including details of our current equipment and facilities.  However the professional section also contains images of a more graphic nature and some readers may find it distressing.  It is not a section suitable for children.
