Beyonce and William

Beyonce is a 4 month old foal who was aptly named after the famous singer. When she arrived at the ACE hospital she had a rather curvaceous bottom as a result of an abscess in her buttock (ouch!). The abscess was caused by an injection being administered elsewhere in the buttock, which had become infected. The abscess was cut open to allow it to drain and also flushed out daily until it began to heal. While she was here, Beyonce became very good friends with another little foal called William, who had a urinary tract infection. Both Beyonce and Willy have now fully recovered and gone home with their owners.
