Where your donations go

Donkey Foals in the ACE paddocksIf you make a donation to ACE you can see directly where your donations go, on this website.  Every penny donated is used in the best way that we can to help the animals in Egypt.

£10 ~ pays for a horse or donkey's sores to be cared for whilst at ACE's treatment centre.

£20 ~ pays for the essential anaesthetic needed to operate on an injured horse or donkey.

A foal with a chest wound£45 ~ pays for 80 children to vist our education centre and learn essential basics of animal care

£70 ~ will pay to feed ALL our in-patients and residents for the day (that's 25 stables, sometimes being shared, and up to 30 small animals)

£150 ~ pays for the milk to wean a baby foal that has lost its mother and give it a chance of life

£200 ~ pays for a fully trained local vet for a whole month, who will treat hundreds of animals in this time

These are a few examples of what it costs us to treat animals here.  These costs fluctuate according to the rates of exchange, and some procedures are far more expensive than others.  However, we wanted to give you an example of the costs involved.

PuppyOur overheads and administrative costs in Egypt are kept to an absolute minimum.  If you donate directly to us, we log all donations and the authorities regulate us to ensure that we follow the Egyptian guidelines.

If you donate to us through our supporting charity in England, you can see how that money is sent to support us by looking us up on the Charity Commision website.  All English registered charities are logged on there and have to supply annual figures of their spending through this governing body.  The English charity is Registered Charity UK 108267.
