Support Us

Just Walk

We have joined with Just Events to be able to provide you, our supporters with great facilities to help us fundraise.  This year we are celebrating our 10th anniversary and we are hoping that our wonderful supporters will continue to step up and help us to maintain and grow the level of care we are currently giving to the animals in Egypt.

Just Walk is an exciting sponsored UK charity walk. This fundraising walk is open to anyone who is keen to get their walking boots on and hike for ACE - you can choose either 10km, 20km, 40km or 60km routes - so something for everybody. This charity walk offers enthusiastic walkers the chance to experience a breathtaking charity walk over the picturesque South Downs in West Sussex and generate funds for ACE.

These events are well organised and include packs on registering, support throughout the event from training and fundraising advice, during the events there is full medical support, 'comfort' stops, complete safety backup, T-shirt and certificates upon completion!

With so many animals needing help in Egypt, ACE is always grateful for any assistance you may be able to give in raising much-needed funds.  We are fortunate to have a large group of voluntary fundraisers who kindly help us in very many ways, this could be anything from a coffee morning or quiz evening every month, to an annual ball, to running Marathons or climbing mountains!  All we ask for is as little or as much time as you feel you can give because every single penny assists us in our vital work.

We would be delighted to give you any advice, support and assistance you may require.  We will also supply you with a copy of our fundraising guidelines leaflet which has been drawn up for the benefit of both you and our charity, and outlines rules and regulations which must be complied with.

Remember to always keep the 'fun' in fundraising.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer fundraiser, or have any questions, please contact us.

You can also raise funds for us by any or all of the following methods:

EBay for CharityeBay for Charity is the perfect way to fundraise for ACE without even leaving your own home.  So, if you're thinking of selling goods on eBay, why not consider donating a percentage of the proceeds to ACE?

It's simple enough to do, just save ACE as your favourite charity and eBay will guide you through the process of donating to us.

Sellers can choose to donate between 10% and 100% of their final sale price to our charity. The minimum donation to any charity featured on eBay is £2 per sold item.

EBay for Charity RibbonYour listing will appear with this special charity blue and yellow ribbon beside it together with Animal Care in Egypt's logo and mission statement.  When your item sells, your donation plus Gift Aid and an eBay fee donation will be paid directly into our bank account.

To date, supporters have donated almost £900 to ACE via eBay for Charity!

If you would like to donate any quality collectible items that you would like ACE to auction, please contact us.

Please note that we do ask you to cover the cost of postage and packaging when sending the items to us.

ACE, desperately needs isolation stable facilities, so that we can separate contagious cases from our other in-patients.  Following the outbreak of equine flu in 2008, (as well as regular cases of strangles - strangles, like equine flu is a potentially fatal disease and highly contagious, affecting horses and donkeys).  We urgently need somewhere where we can admit these cases without risking the health of our existing in-patients.

Hopefully we can raise enough money to build an isolation stable block, and any left over money, after building the stable facilities, can be utilised to purchase the veterinary, and general sterilisable stable equipment needed to reduce any infectious diseases spreading …

This will make a huge difference in protecting the lives of many young and weak animals we have at the hospital. This will help not only the animals but their owners who often rely on their animals for their livelihood.

The Just Walk event in 2010 was held solely to raise funds for this cause, but we still have further to go to reach our target.  Please click the link below if you would like to contribute to this fund.  Thank you.
